Your Lapel Choke

  • Middle Position
    • My Lapel Left (X)
      • Put lapel in mouth as you look away
      • Pull through to hand under head (pull tight), use right and if necessary
      • Post right hand to block their hip
        • Rotate to right, putting head where your right hand is
        • Clock to the right
    • My Lapel Right (X) ???

      • Put lapel in mouth as you look away
      • Pull through to hand under head (pull tight), use right and if necessary
      • Post right hand to block their hip
      • Roll over head
        • Straighten hand to choke
        • Lean back for arm bar
 

General Side Control

  • If up: Keep inside arm or knee tight to prevent escape to guard
  • Turn your head away from opponents head, to make it harder for them to choke you
  • Control head
  • If Down: Keep one hip on ground
